Dans l'ombre de l'artifice (In the shadow of artifice) is a duo exhibition project that has been running for several years. The enigmatic evolution of Ianick Raymond and Laurent Lamarche's pictorial and sculptural dialogue inspired a no less surprising publication that informs, shapes and misinforms about the nature of this mysterious collaboration between the two artists. Alma's Centre Sagamie, writer Pierre-Marc Asselin and art historian Emmanuelle Choquette also lend their efforts to unravel a number of clues, both plausible and improbable, as to the origins of this mise en scène.
